Cook Basic Diploma

In the Cook Basic program students learn to prepare fine food from our experienced Chef instructors.

The Cook Basic Diploma program is an intensive 600-hour, 30 week training program focused on the theory and practice of cooking and a hands-on exploration of classic culinary techniques. The majority of your class time will be spent in the kitchen under the supervision of Liaison's experienced chef instructors. Cook Basic program students will develop the required skills for culinary success. This program has been designed by professional chefs to prepare you to work in the food service industry in a miriad of positions.

When you graduate, students receive job placement assistancec through Liaison College’s exclusive Career Action Plan Services (CAPS). Employers who are looking for staff with solid training in all aspects of cooking from basic prep to food safety look to Liaison first. The basic cook diploma will give you the skills and training to work in any professional kitchen, anywhere in the world.
